Abstract

One of the important elements in learning a language is vocabulary. Vocabulary is the basic foundation for mastering language. Vocabulary should be learned by the students as good as possible. Teaching vocabulary for children needs an interesting technique that involves them to be active in learning. This study was conducted in group B of Kindergarten at As Syifa. This study is aimed to analyze the students activities in teaching vocabularies using songs, to process of learning, and the result of using songs in teaching vocabulary. The data of this study is described with a qualitative approach that means the data are explained in paragraphs. The result of this study shows that the students gave respond well during the learning process. They were fun and relax in following the learning process. Through songs, that students can remember new vocabulary well. This study also showed the good result by giving the vocabulary test to the students. It also can be showed from result of vocabulary tests that were done by the students in this class. Keyword : Teaching Vocabulary, songs, qualitative approach.
