Abstract
This thesis entitled “An Analysis of Medical Jargon in The Fault in Our Stars novel by John Green”. Jargon is specific vocabularies in particular field. Jargon terms are related to human environments, experiences and daily activities. The aimed of the study is analyze jargon in the narration of novel The Fault In Our Stars. The study interested in linguistics field, concerning to sociolinguistics. Nowdays jargon is important to all participants in each field.The qualitative method research was used in this study, descriptive paragraph is written into short essay. To answering the statements of the problem, the writer used Herk (2012) and Finegan (2008) theories. The Point purpose of the study is gave definition all of unusual jargon terms that found in the novel according to medical dictionary. Keyword: Linguistics, Jargon, Medical Jargon.
