Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze child abuse and its impact on main characterin A Child Called It by David Pelzer written in 1995. The method used for this study is qualitative approach by describing and analyzing the treatments towards the main character in the novel. The theory used is the theory of psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud (1923). Child abuse issue found in the novel actually have a lot of impact on children as the victim of child abuse.
