Abstract

System Design Cathodic Protection (Cp) Anode Victim On Steel Pipes. Case Study In The Pipeline Pt Pgn. Nippon Sokubai Indonesia. Corrosion is a serious problem that resulted in the emergence of a loss in terms of financing. In the world of oil and gas industry, the use of pipelines is one of the elements that play an important role as a production chain. The main target in the maintenance / care is to keep distribution gas to customers in accordance with their needs in a safe and economical conditions. Cathodic Protection (CP) is a technique used to control the corrosion of a metal surface by making the surface of the metal as the cathode of an electrochemical cell. From the calculation of the average values obtained on the potential protection that is 1618.333333-mV test on the first try, 1610.666667-mV at the second trial, and the 1619-mV at the third attempt. From the calculation of the average values obtained on the anode potential is 1577.333333-mV test on the first try, 1585.333333-mV in the second trial, and the trial third 1584.333333-mV. current total protection 0.259 A. total weight of the anode is needed as much as 40.9 kg / mg. Key word: Cathodic Protection (Proteksi Katodik), Anode, Magnesium, Pipe
